DEPARTMENTAL TUTORING with ISABEL IBÁÑEZ
The Department has organized intensive tutoring sessions to help you catch up or keep up with your work. We are deeply interested in your success, so please take advantage of these sessions starting now, whether you feel rusty or need some help going over the content covered in class. It is important not to fall behind in your course, so please go meet our tutor, Isabel Ibáñez, who has already taught several courses in our Department. Please be advised that she will not be correcting your papers or doing your homework, but she can address areas where you do not feel comfortable. Isabel has created a Calendar link where you can sign up for tutoring in slots of 20 minutes (3 people per hour at most). The link is the following:
After you sign up, Isabel will be sending you the Zoom link so you can meet up with her. Tutoring will be all remote until October. Starting October 7, she will also be holding in-person sessions on Thursdays (Monday sessions will stay all remote for the time being) . Sessions can be extended if nobody else has signed up for the next slots. If somebody is attending tutoring in the slot ahead of you, you can sign in and will be put in a Waiting Room, until our tutor can meet up with you.
Please do cancel online if for any reason you are unable to attend, so another student can take advantage of the time slot!
The tutoring sessions will take place:
- REMOTELY via ZOOM until October.
- After October 7, Thursday sessions will be in person, as well as online (both types of appointments will be available on Thursdays).
There will be two tutoring sessions per week:
MONDAYS 11:00AM - 2:00PM (remote all semester)
THURSDAYS 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (remote until Sep 30; in-person and/or remote after Oct 7)
In person sessions (with the proper social distancing) on Thursdays after Oct 7 will be at the Library at the King Juan Carlos Center, 53 Washington Square South. You will also be able to have remote appointments on Thursdays, just specify which kind of meeting you'll be requesting when you make an appointment in the Google form.
We would like to support your remote learning process as much as possible. Please do take advantage of this opportunity. Isabel will be happy to meet with you!
We wish you the best for the remainder of this Fall 2020 semester. Enjoy Spanish!
