The Sociology of Culture Workshop provides a focal point for faculty and students working on or simply interested in the sociology of culture, broadly defined--from the most minute forms of meaning-making in action to studies of public representations, or the global diffusion of ideas and practices. We will meet online monthly to discuss papers by visiting presenters. Faculty and doctoral students are welcome to join by contacting one of the three organizers, Paul DiMaggio (pd1092@nyu.edu), Carly Knight (crk3@nyu.edu) or Iddo Tavory (iddo.tavory@nyu.edu). Workshops will be alternating with the Ethnography workshop on Fridays from 12:00-2:00pm in the Memorial Room (4130).
