Under Nuclear Threat, Under US Occupation: Guam, North Korea, and Trump
As threats of nuclear attack against Guåhan (Guam) by North Korea escalates, spurred by Trump’s declaration to “totally destroy” North Korea, Indigenous delegates from Guåhan are in NYC to intervene and address the United Nations. U.S. occupation and continued military build-up places Guåhan in harms way, eliding a powerful Indigenous decolonial peace movement that opposes occupation and the expansion of U.S. military bases in that region. Come meet and discuss current issues with the Guåhan delegates and Korean peace activists from Nodutdol, a NYC based group organizing against militarism and war in both North and South Korea. Open to the public, lunch will be served.
