Graduate Fellowships are open to both NYU and non-NYU applicants.
Graduate fellows receive an office at Remarque and visiting scholar status to use NYU’s libraries, databases, facilities, and privileges. Graduate Fellows receive a stipend of $4750 for each of the four months they are in residence and, where necessary, visa support. Fellows are expected to be in residence throughout the semester; to participate in all relevant Remarque events; and to take part in and contribute to the community the Institute seeks to foster.
TEFE Fellows at Remarque have time to pursue their own research while also contributing to (and drawing on) the intellectual and public-facing operations of the Institute. Essential to the TEFE Initiative is the establishment of a vibrant intellectual space in which each semester’s cohort of scholars can work both alone and together, building on their distinctive disciplines and shared interests. Moreover, fellows will curate together an invited speakers’ and work-in-progress discussion series, a podcast, and an annual conference.
The application deadline for the 2024/2025 academic year TEFE Graduate Fellowship is December 15, 2023. Interviews may be conducted over the winter break, and offers will be made in mid-January.
A complete application consists of the following:
* completed application form
* complete and up-to-date curriculum vitae
* 3 to 5 page description of your current research
* names of two references
* these references must submit letters through our reference submission manager, by the deadline.
