The Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies invites graduate students who are interested in working in non-profit and Non-Goverment Organizations (NGO) to attend Monday, March 4, 2019 Professional Development Workshop.
The aim of the presentation is to shed light on education in time of crises, and the challenges and opportunities of working with NGO and INGOs in Lebanon

Suha Tutunji is the Academic Director of the Jusoor Refugee Education program in Lebanon. She has an MA in school management and supervision. Her first classroom experience was as an English teacher. She has over 25 years of experience in education, with over 18 years as a school administrator. She has extensive experience running workshops for educators in Lebanon, Turkey, USA, the Emirates and the UK.
She worked as a research center in Beirut where co-published a paper on widening access to Syrian refugee education. Suha participated in researches on child rights and civic education in public schools in Lebanon. She also worked on education, mental health and labor. Suha has written two articles: one on action research in schools and another on best practices to opening EiE schools. Suha is a co-founder and board member of an NGO called CARE (Consultancy and Advocacy for Remedial Education) that caters to students with learning disabilities. She is also an INEE member and part of the INEE teacher training working group.
