Kemal Kirişçi is the TÜSİAD senior fellow and director of the Center on the United States and Europe's Turkey Project at Brookings, with an expertise in Turkish foreign policy and migration studies. His most recent book, “Turkey and the West: Faultlines in a Troubled Alliance,” was published in 2017. He is the co-author of the monograph "The Consequences of Chaos: Syria's Humanitarian Crisis and the Failure to Protect" )2016), which considers the long-term economic, political, and social implications of Syria's displaced and offers policy recommendations to address the humanitarian crisis.
Evren Balta is an associate professor of politics at Ozyegin University, Istanbul Turkey. She holds a Ph.D. in political science from The Graduate Center, CUNY (2007) and received the Distinguished Alumni Award of the Political Science Program in 2018. Her most recent book titled “The American Passport: Citizenship and Belonging in the Age of Global Empire” (co-authored with Ozlem Altan Olcay) will be published by the UPenn Press in Fall 2019.
Koray Çalışkan is faculty fellow in Heilbroner Center for Capitalism studies at the New School and associate professor of politics at Bogazici University. He received his Ph.D. with distinction from NYU and won the Malcolm Kerr Award from MESA. His book Market Threads came out from Princeton UP and focused on global markets. Currently, he works on sociology of blockchains.
