Synopsis: The film is a portrait of different cultural practitioners in Kashmir who have turned their art into weapons of resistance during a period of heightened state repression.

"The film unveils transformed cultural fabric of Kashmir valley through a journey into the metamorphoses of its traditional and folk practices like Sufiyana music and poetry to contemporary art forms such as Hip Hop and Rock. By evoking the collective memory of their people and unwinding threads of the region’s folk history, the featured artists and musicians in this film negotiate with questions of survival, resistance and freedom – all deeply embroiled in the complex conflict of Kashmir.”

“Besides the National award the film was also adjudged Best Film – Feature Doc at the 10th IDSFFK (International Documentary & Short Film Festival of Kerala), Best Script – Feature Doc at 12th IDPA Awards for Excellence in Documentary; and so far been officially selected at 13th IAWRT Asian Women’s Film Festival, 12th Habitat Film Festival, 6th DC South Asian Film Festival and 7th South Asian Film Festival of Montreal. Currently the film is running for various South Asian and International film festivals.”
