La Maison Française, in collaboration with Unifrance, is thrilled to welcome director Albert Serra for an exclusive masterclass. This event is an extraordinary opportunity to discover Albert Serra's filmography, and hear about his creative process, and relationship with French culture.
His new film Pacifiction will be showing at the New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center on October 5 and 6. The director will be present at the screenings for a Q&A. Info and tickets here.

Albert Serra
Catalan artist and filmmaker (1975, Spain), he writes, directs and produces both films and plays. His films usually depict European myths and literature. In 2001, Serra co-founded the production company Andergraun Films. Honour of the Knights was selected by Cahiers du Cinéma as one of the ten best films of 2007. In 2013, a retrospective of Serra's work was screened at the Centre Pompidou. For Story of My Death, Serra was awarded the Golden Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival in 2013. For The Death of Louis XIV, Serra received the Prix Jean Vigo in 2016. Freedom received the Un Certain Regard - Special Jury Prize in Cannes 2019.
