RITA LAURA SEGATO is an emeritus professor of anthropology and the graduate programs in Bioethics and Human Rights at the University of Brasilia. She is currently a Visiting Research Scholar and Lecturer at Princeton University. Segato is the author of multiple books like Santos e Daimones. O politeísmo afrobrasileiro e a tradição arquetipal (1995); Las nuevas formas de la guerra y el cuerpo de las mujeres (2014); Aníbal Quijano: textos de fundación (2014), and Contrapedagogías de la crueldad (2018), among many others. She has received several awards and recognitions such as her inclusion in the EsGlobal’s list of most influential Ibero-American intellectuals (2017-2018), and the Latin American and Caribbean Social Science Prize CLACSO 50 years (2018).
The conference will be held in Spanish and will be recorded.
