Since the 2014-5 academic year, 60 students have graduated from the Master’s in European and Mediterranean Studies program and have found success in a wide variety of professional fields. 96% of these graduates placed into full-time employment or PhD programs.
17.5% have gone on to pursue PhDs at other universities, both in the United States and abroad, in programs ranging from history to security studies to international relations
9% work as educators at high schools and universities
19% of graduates, many of whom completed the joint master’s programs offered in partnership with the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, now work at publications such as Bloomberg, Insider, the BBC, and the Indian Express
10.5% work at nonprofits such as Save the Children, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and Sesame Workshop
33% have found jobs in the private sector in wide-ranging fields such as finance and campaign management
7% have gone into the public sector working for example at the U.S. Army or for the Italian Ministry of Transport
3.5% work in the legal field either at major New York firms or in legal compliance at other organizations
