Major Interests: Grant has always been fascinated by the complex. As an undergraduate at Duke University, nothing seemed more intricate than a microprocessor, the very innovation that allow humans to carry out real-time transoceanic video conversations on plastic handheld rectangles. However, after graduating in 2019 with a degree in Computer Science, the South Florida native, contemplating metaphysical determinism and his own Jewish-American identity, spent a gap year in Israel where he studied ancient Jewish legal codes and mysticism at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in addition to learning Hebrew while volunteering on an Alpaca Farm. After the past year of having taught 8th Grade English, Grant is thrilled to be pursuing a Master's in Religious Studies at NYU where he hopes to research contemporary Jewish philosophy/theology, secularism within the Jewish-American Reform movement, and the intersection of religion and political economy. Grant wears exclusively Hawaiian shirts and likes to speak in the third person.
