I use behavioral studies, neuroimaging data, and computational modeling approaches with the goal of understanding why some memories are retained and some are lost, how associations between different experiences are maintained and used, and how neural data can inform our understanding of cognition and behavior.

Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology
My research interests are focused on human memory and learning. I use behavioral studies, neuroimaging data, and computational modeling approaches with the goal of understanding why some memories are retained and some are lost, how associations between different experiences are maintained and used, and how neural data can inform our understanding of cognition and behavior. A particular focus of recent work is in understanding how an individual’s own past experiences and current state of mind interact with ongoing experience to influence what they learn.
