Thank you for your interest in the New York University Department of Physics undergraduate program. Under the link to current/new students in the undergraduate home page you will find a brief description of the department programs. Additional information can be found under the various other links from that page.
Our department boasts of a high faculty (about 30) to student (approximately 15-20 graduating majors per year) ratio. This means the faculty and students get to know each other well, there is much opportunity for student research and input into the program, and lots of comraderie among our students.
In the last few years about half of our graduating seniors have gone on to graduate schools, with many getting accepted to the most competitive programs in the US. For information about undergraduate admissions please go to the NYU Undergraduate Admissions webpage or contact the Admissions Office at 212-998-4500.
