CAS students may begin earning credit towards a Master's degree while still pursuing undergraduate studies. Our accelerated, combined degree program allow students to complete a Master's in less time and at a lower cost than is normally required. Students begin graduate coursework while still in CAS and then apply that coursework towards the Master's in Religious Studies.
Students admitted to this program complete at least a quarter of required Master's degree credits while still undergraduates (these credits do not count towards the Bachelor's degree). In the graduate portion of the program, students receive a scholarship covering up to 50% of tuition for one year, during which time they can finish the remainder of the Master's degree.
For advisement on program eligibility, admissions, and general degree planning, CAS students are encouraged to meet with Scott Statland (scott.statland@nyu.edu), Associate Director, Juniors and Inter-School Programs. Students may visit Scott during walk-in hours at the Academic Resource Center, or they may call the Preprofessional Advising Center (212-998-8160) to schedule an appointment.
See Accelerated Bachelor's-Master's Program (CAS & GSAS) for further information and the online application.
