On June 16, Alex Warstadt successfully defended his dissertation, "Artificial Neural Networks as Models of Human Language Acquisition." His committee consisted of Sam Bowman (chair), Tal Linzen, Brenden Lake (NYU Psychology & Data Science), Mike Frank (Stanford), and Ellie Pavlick (Brown). Starting in September, Alex will be starting a postdoc position in computational linguistics at ETH Zurich.
