Eccoci qua: In-house lectures at the Casa Italiana
In this lecture we will explore the history, food, music, and language of the largest island in the Mediterranean, from past civilizations leading up to today. Sicilian culture is the result of many different influences: Before being Italian, Sicily was Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Arab, Norman, and Spanish. This allowed for a melting pot of different flavors, sounds, architecture, art, and languages, which makes Sicily unique and ultimately Sicilian.
