Katie Linnane hails from Pearl River, NY, a hotbed of traditional music where a great crew of Irish-American teachers (including Katie's mother Kathy) have cultivated an amazingly talented crop of young instrumentalists. Katie, who plays the fiddle with effortless exuberance, is among the best of this golden generation. For her Blarney Star concert debut, she will team up with the multi-talented Isaac Alderson, a Chicago-born uillleann piper, flute player and tin whistler who one day in 2002 took three All-Ireland senior championships in a single day. Isaac has played on Broadway in Riverdance and Come From Away, and toured and recorded with the groups The Yanks, The Bronx Boys, Ensemble Galilee and Comas.
