Pufferfish explores the edges of our own loves, fears and desires through an intimate close-up on one of the world’s most infamous serial-killers.
A story about real-life gay celebrity serial-killer Jeffrey Dahmer. And real love.
“Why do they make the body of Christ so dry? With the wafer. It’s not like that at all. Bodies aren’t dry. They’re wet.”
PUFFERFISH is based on the real, but hard-to-believe story of Jeffrey Dahmer, who took the lives of 17 young men in the 1980s.
“Digging past the bias and homophobia colouring the initial reporting, it explores the edges of our own loves, fears and desires. A glimpse into the darkness and the light inside one of the worlds most infamous serial-killers. Clashing together true crime, gentle comedy, brutal horror and old-fashioned romance, ‘PUFFERFISH cuts you open’”. (De Groene Amsterdammer).
