Tenth Annual Quinlan Family Lecture in Poetry
Tuesday, November 16, at 12pm.
Pulitzer Prize winning poet Paul Muldoon delivers the 10th Annual Quinlan Family Lecture in Poetry. The lecture, filmed in front of a small live audience at the Irish Repertory Theater, will be available to view from Tuesday evening, November 16. This year's lecture coincides with the publication of Muldoon's newest book of poems, Howdie-Skelp, and marks ten year since Seamus Heaney visited Glucksman Ireland House to inaugurate the Quinlan Family lecture, named in honor of Tom Quinlan, whose extraordinary career as a teacher of poetry extended more than seven decades. Introduced by NYU Professor John Waters, the Lecture includes a rollicking reading of, among other poems, "A Bull," and a post-reading conversation about poetry, teaching, and poetry teaching.
