Daniel Russel is Diplomat in Residence and Senior Fellow at the Asia Society. Prior to that, he served as Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia & White House Senior Director for Asia. He spent more than twenty years as a U.S. diplomat stationed across the Asia-Pacific and the world.
