Conversation avec Patrick Simon : étudier l’immigration et la race dans la France contemporaine.
Patrick Simon is a sociologist, Senior Researcher at the INED (Institut National des Etudes Démographiques), and currenly a visiting professor at the IFS where he teaches a course entitled “France, société multiculturelle en débats”. His research focuses on immigration, discrimination, ethnic and racial studies, ethno-racial classification in statistics, social and ethnic division of space. He is the coeditor and coauthor of Trajectoires et origines. Enquête sur la diversité des populations en France (2016), a groundbreaking statistical study of the impact of ethnicity and race on the situations of immigrants and their children in France.
