With Solène Brun (Institut Convergences Migrations), and representatives from Etats Généraux des Migrations and A bas les CRA. Moderated by Frédéric Salin (IFS/NYU and IRIS/EHESS).
Solène Brun is a postdoctoral fellow at the Institut Convergences Migrations, and the scientific coordinator of the department INTEGER/Intégration-discrimination.
Etats Généraux des Migrations brings together hundreds of local or national collectives fighting on the ground in France with foreign people. One of their current campaigns includes the regularization of the sans-papiers, the undocumented people in France.
The A bas les CRA collective stems from the fight of undocumented migrants incarcerated in centres de rétention administrative, France’s administrative detention centers. It calls for the abolition of these centers.
Frédéric Salin (French Studies, NYU and IRIS, EHESS) is a sociologist. He focuses on the work and employment of exiles in New York and Paris.
