Maria Gorgia is a choreographer and founder of Amalgama dance company. Amalgama produced 15 dance pieces within 11 productions since 1996. Amalgama was commissioned to produce “Pentathlon Feats” for the Olympics Ceremonies organized by Athens 2004 and has participated in dance festivals in Greece, New York City, Croatia and Hong Kong. Maria Gorgia has collaborated with film and theatre directors and has been teaching Contemporary Dance and Improvisation and Choreography in the American College of Greece and in the University of Peloponnesus.
