The Center for Religion and Media’s digital magazine Revealer, edited by Brett Krutzsch (Religious Studies), has won several awards from the Religion News Association, including the top prize for a religion magazine.
Gerceida Adams-Jones (Liberal Studies) and Kyle Cranmer (Physics) have been elected 2021 Fellows of the American Physical Society, Adams-Jones for publicly addressing inequities in science education, and Cranmer for his work on the successful search for the Higgs bosun.
The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation Board of Trustees announces today, effective as of November 1, the election of essayist Claudia Rankine as a member of the Board of Trustees. Rankine is a MacArthur Fellow and lauded playwright, poet and essayist, she joined the Arts & Science faculty as Professor of Creative Writing in 2021.
