Steven Kuchuck is Faculty at the NYU Postdoctoral Program where he teaches the course “The Psychoanalyst’s Subjectivity: Theoretical and Clinical Implications” in the Independent Track. He is a psychoanalyst, clinical supervisor and consultant in private practice in Manhattan and faculty member and supervisor at a number of psychoanalytic institutes in New York City and elsewhere. His articles, book chapters and books focus primarily on the clinician’s subjectivity and the ways in which the person of the analyst impacts and is impacted by clinical work. Dr. Kuchuck serves on the Board of Directors of the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP), the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP) where he is currently serving as President (2018-2021) and the Executive Committee of the Stephen Mitchell Relational Study Center. He is Co-Editor of Routledge’s Relational Perspectives Book Series and Past Editor in Chief of Psychoanalytic Perspectives.
