Niall Bond, associate professor at the University Lyon 2, is an intellectual historian who studied at Georgetown University, the University of Freiburg, where he obtained a Ph.D. in politics and German, the Paul-Valéry University in Montpellier, where he obtained a Master's in history and the EHESS, from which he obtained the
habilitation à diriger la recherche in 2010. He has primarily published on the history of the human sciences, particularly in Germany. He is currently working, among other things, on the importation of German social theory to the United States with the support of the Rockefeller Foundation. He has also worked extensively as a translator and conference interpreter between English, German and French.
