Milena Jakšić is a CNRS research fellow and a member of Institut des Sciences Sociales du Politique (ISP, ENS-Cachan). She holds a PhD in sociology (EHESS, 2011) and her work focuses on sociology of humanitarian causes, human trafficking, prostitution and migration. Her publications include articles in

Victimes coupables. Sociologie de la traite des êtres humains. During her stay at CIRHUS, she will compare anti-trafficking policies in United States, France and Germany, with a special focus on how immigration and anti-trafficking agendas are in conflict in these countries and how they affect migrant sex workers.
