Professor of Linguistics
My research interests are in syntax, particularly those aspects of syntax which interface with semantics. In recent years, I have been examinining the nature of elliptical constructions in English and have begun comparing them in other languages, and the nature of predication that is relevant to natural language syntax. I am also interested in the syntactic aspects of lexical representation.
