Kyle Ferguson is an adjunct professor in the Department of Environmental Studies at NYU and a postdoctoral fellow in the Division of Medical Ethics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Augustana College. He works on a broad range of ethical and philosophical issues that arise when we design and conduct scientific research on health and the environment and when we imagine and evaluate ways to use new knowledge and technologies to improve our lives and world. His current research projects are in vaccine ethics, global health ethics, and research ethics in the context of public health emergencies and in the context of developing strategies to mitigate and adapt to climate change. He previously taught philosophy at Hunter College and Baruch College, both of CUNY, and medical ethics at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
