My research uses a wide variety of tools, from structural biology to bioinformatics, to understand a cell’s essential molecular machines. Using yeast as a model system, my work as a postdoc showed how the cell’s replication and transcription machinery coordinate their simultaneous use of the DNA template. My ongoing research examines the cell’s response to replication stress, and I’m developing discovery-based teaching modules to incorporate this research into undergraduate teaching labs
