Having worked for the United Nations for over thirty years – in a dozen or so functions, in four cities, and on three continents – I am pleased to have joined a vibrant academic community. My research focus is the international governance of climate change and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
I am a Senior Fellow as well as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hertie School of Governance (Berlin). In addition, I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Academic Council on the United Nations System and of the Board of Advisers of the Centre for United Nations Studies at the University of Buckingham (England).
