Cian Dorr is Professor of Philosophy. He earned a B.A. in Philosophy and English and an M.A. in Philosophy from University College, Cork where he studied Philosophy and English. He received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Princeton University 2002. Dorr has published many important articles in metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of language, and philosophy of physics. He is currently working on two books: Counterparts and Our Place in a Quantum World. He has previously held appointments at NYU, the University of Pittsburgh, and most recently at Oxford. He is a past recipient of the Charles E. Ryskamp Research Fellowship of the American Council of Learned Societies.
