Dr. Andrew R. Getzfeld received his B.A. in Psychology from Vassar College, his M.S.S.W. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. His dissertation examined bulimia nervosa in young women. He is Department Chair and Professor of Psychology at New Jersey City University. He regularly serves as a thesis sponsor or reader. His is also a trained clinician and performs therapy and supervision.
Dr. Getzfeld’s areas of interest include bulimia nervosa, addictions, abnormal psychology, children and child development, and psychopharmacology.
