Alys George is the recipient of NYU’s Golden Dozen Teaching Award (2014) and Stanford University’s Centennial Teaching Award (2004). Her research has been supported by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and Research (Franz Werfel Fellowship; Richard Plaschka Fellowship), NYU’s Goddard Junior Faculty Fellowship, the Dietrich W. Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American Studies, the Austrian Cultural Forum and German Studies Association, a Fulbright research grant, the IFK Internationales Forschungszentrum Kulturwissenschaften/International Research Center for Cultural Studies (Junior Fellowship), Stanford University’s School of Humanities and Sciences, the Freie Universität Berlin, and the Stanford Digital Humanities Lab.
