Gabriel Shapiro specializes in ancient Greek and Roman philosophy. His recent work focuses on ancient Greek metaphysics and epistemology, especially on the concept of essence and the Principle of Noncontradiction. He is also interested in ancient ethics, contemporary metaphysics and the reception of Aristotelianism in medieval Jewish and Arabic philosophy. He received a PhD from Princeton University in 2022.
