Following in the NYU tradition of naming literary magazines after locations—Washington Square Review, West 10th, West 4th Review, Minetta Review—the Greene Street Review is named after the street on which the Department of English resides. Nestled in the heart of Greenwich Village, the interior of the NYU English Department building is coated with a thick coat of green paint to match the name of the narrow cobblestone road outside.
Published biannualy, the Greene Street Review is a collection of reviews, interviews, and essays solicited from fellow students and beyond. The Greene Street Review is an amalgam of cultural and literary criticism from our little corner of New York City.
