The 18th/19th C Studies Workshop is thrilled to host Brigitte Fielder (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Nikki Hessell (Te Herenga Waka/Victoria University of Wellington), and Sal Nicolazzo (University of California-San Diego) to discuss their recent books. These books range in their engagements with Critical Race, Indigenous, and Abolition studies and each makes a substantial contribution in transforming our approaches to 18th & 19th C literature. The conversation will be moderated by Corey Risinger.
The recent books we will be discussing, with their authors, are: Brigitte Fielder's Relative Races (Duke UP 2020), Nikki Hessell's Romantic Literature and the Colonised World (Palgrave 2018), and Sal Nicolazzo's Vagrant Figures (Yale UP 2021).
