Hanyu Xiao received an undergraduate degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from East China Normal University, International College of Chinese Studies in 2010. She completed an M.A. degree in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages from Columbia University, Teachers College in 2012. Before coming to NYU in 2015, she taught at Columbia University. She currently teaches courses in Chinese language.
