Do you accept walk-in or drop-in appointments?

I am a faculty, student, staff, that needs to access the office for a 1-time visit. What do I do?
Is this your first time on campus? If yes, please get a pre-arrival test and submit your results to NYU: student submission | faculty/staff submission
Once you’re given the ok to return to campus, please make a request with our department by completing the EAS Office Access Form. Please allow 1 business day for processing your request.
If you receive a message from our department confirming your request, you may move forward with your scheduled visit. Please note that completing The Daily Screener is required for visiting all NYU buildings. More NYU guidelines on buildling access can be found here.
You may lose buildling access by failure to use the Daily Screener each day you enter an NYU buildling, failture to undergo required ongoing testing and violations of NYU safety protocals, such as failure to wear a mask.

Students have access to other spaces on campus and can find locations and information on how to book a space here. You may also book a seat via Student Seat Reservation and by using the NYU mobile app.
I need to pick-up PPE, where do I go?
From September 2-11th, you can pick up PPE equipment (fask masks, hand sanitizers) at the locations listed here.
What kind of safety measures should I expect to see and follow inside the department?
We are monitoring department traffic to make sure that our capacity is well below 50% of our population at any given time. Please wear masks in all public areas: front desk, kitchen, hallways, stairs, elevators. Masks are not required inside personal office spaces.
In addition, we are limiting group gathering in our public spaces by either removing chairs and tables or labeling areas and furnitures with a do-not-use signs.
We will try our very best to provide a continuous public supply of sanitizers and wipes, but we recommend our community to carry their own supplies as well and use them frequently. If you notice that cleaning supplies are running low, please contact EAStudies@nyu.edu.
Our department staff will do our best to sanitize frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, handles, buttons, and phones after each in-person shift. We kindly request that our community members, faculty and students alike, do the same. Please review NYU recommendations on personal workspace cleaning and kitchen and breakroom cleaning for best practices.
Who do I contact if I have questions or concerns regarding COVID-19 office procedures?
Please send your questions or concerns to EAStudies@nyu.edu. The message will be seen and reviewed by our department administration. Thank you for your efforts in keeping our community safe!

What library resources are available during this time? If I can't find reserach materials or sources, who can I contact?
This URL has key information for Library Collections Access, including estimates on how long it will take to receive the materials. If you have questions on how to find EAS-specific resources, our EAS librarian, Beth Katzoff (bk60@nyu.edu) has gathered a great starting point in this Google Slides presentation. In addition you may contact Beth with specific questions and requests.
Can I send mail and packages to the department?
We highly recommend that you redirect your mail and package deliveries to your residential address for the time being. However, our department staff can accept and pick up mail, parcels and packages from the lobby for the 5th floor. Any driver or person making deliveries to 19 UP will be asked to leave the mail or packages in the lobby for our staff to pick-up. If our staff is not in the office, the delivery will be rescheduled for a different day.
