Hi everyone! I’m Lisa and I’m the new Cultural Program intern at Deutsches Haus at NYU. I grew up in Mülheim an der Ruhr, a beautiful small city in the Ruhr-Area in Germany. After high school and a year of travelling to places such as Alaska, Canada, Costa Rica, and Spain, I decided to study Spanish and English literature and language at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, including a one year stay abroad in Monterrey, Mexico. Subsequently, I started a master’s degree in Spanish, English, and Education that I have recently finished. In addition to my language and teaching studies, I am about to complete a coop-program of the Faculty of Economics and the IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) Bochum, gaining knowledge in business administration, economics, and other related fields. As I started my internship at Deutsches Haus at NYU already five weeks ago, I can already look back on many interesting events and I look forward to many more to come. It is a pleasure to work and live in this vibrant city, which I already love.
