We hope each of you you has had a safe and restful summer, and even managed to find some enjoyment during this difficult time. We urge you to read this and all communications from XE, from GSAS, and from NYU very carefully, and to consult both the NYU Returns and as well as this page regularly.
XE FACULTY AND STAFF OFFICE HOURS
We look forward to spending time with all of you this fall and will be available to speak with you whenever a question arises throughout the semester.
To facilitate your access to XE, we are pleased to announce the establishment of XE Virtual Open Office Hours, where you can drop in via Zoom to speak with our seasoned administrative team, Nicole Pandolfo and Ariel Looser. XE Virtual Open Office Hours will be held Mondays through Thursdays, from 10 to 11 am, starting September 2nd. Please drop in using the Zoom link here.
Of course, you can also always email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a phone call or zoom meeting outside of the drop-in hours as well.
All XE faculty will be available during their posted weekly office hours. Each faculty member will decide upon and post the modality they will be using--Zoom or in-person--and post all relevant contact information on the XE website here.
ADD/DROP PERIOD AND REFUND SCHEDULE
We know many of you may want to take advantage of NYU's add/drop period to consider a range of classes to enroll in this fall. We encourage you to email faculty to receive a link to virtual classes so that you can attend them in the first two weeks of class. The add/drop period ends September 15th, by which point you should have made your final course selection for the fall.
Please note the GSAS refund schedule for dropping classes and for withdrawing so that you can make informed choices about your fall plans. If you are considering a withdrawal or deferral, the last date to do so without financial penalty is September 3rd.
Needless to say, we at XE, including your XE Faculty Advisors, are happy to continue to advise you on your course selection and plans for the fall.
