Major Interests: I was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada, and graduated from the University of Regina with a B.A in Religious Studies and Anthropology. My undergraduate research focused on the exploration of religious life through the lens of intersectional feminism and postcolonial theory, as well as the role of religion in contemporary global politics. As a student of the joint Religion and Literary Reportage program, I plan to further examine how various religious groups, and outside perceptions of these groups, influence and shape contemporary political and social life in Western cultures. I am particularly interested in the impact of religious fundamentalism and extremism on the lives of women and marginalized groups in America.
