Can I request to defer my admission?
In the Psychology program, you can request to defer your admission for up to one year. Deferral requests should go to gsas.admissions@nyu.edu.
No deferrals are granted in the I/O Psychology program.
What transcript will you need and where do I send it?
Click here for detailed information regarding submitting your final and official transcript. Do not send transcripts to the Psychology Department.
When do I register for classes?
Registration for new spring 2022 students begins in December. You will receive a detailed email from the department with advising and registration information.
Is there an orientation for new students?
You will receive more information regarding orientations in January. The orientations held by GSAS are not mandatory, but highly recommended. GSAS also holds Virtual Accepted Student Days.
Where can I find out about financial aid?
Unfortunately, the Psychology department is unable to offer financial aid or scholarships for master's education.

Where can I find the tuition rates and due dates?
Visit the NYU Bursar page for current GSAS tuition and fee information. The MA Psychology program is 36 credits (full time is 9 credits per semester).

How can I prepare for my first semester?

Where and when are classes held?
Most classes are at 4:55 and 6:55 pm. All classes are on the Washington Square Campus. The psychology building is at 6 Washington Place. Classes are held here and in nearby buildings, all within walking distance. Click here for a campus map. Click here for a Virtual Campus Tour.
