Societal breach by way of (under)common òrò, stammered folkic comportment. We speak (alone) together on all manner of things, in answer to a brilliant question that is always yet to come.
A meditation on zoom as a venue for talking about freedom, free jazz, what they are and what, if anything they have to do with one another. We'll be accompanied by Ran Blake & Anthony Braxton and Nina Simone.
Fumi Okiji is an assistant professor in rhetoric at University of California Berkeley. She works across black study, critical theory, and sound and music studies.
Fred Moten teaches black studies, poetics and critical theory in the Department of Performance Studies in the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. His latest book, written with Stefano Harney, is All Incomplete (Minor Compositions/Autonomedia, 2020).
