I joined the Departments of History and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies in 2018 after completing my undergraduate education in the Department of History at the University of California, Berkeley. I am a student of modern Middle Eastern history, with interests in twentieth-century social movements and the material politics of religious revival and revolt in Iran and the Persian Gulf.
