The Linguistics department would like announce that Gary Thoms of the University of Glasgow will be joining the faculty in September 2018. Professor Thoms is a syntactician whose work focuses on ellipsis, reconstruction and scope, relative clauses, Celtic syntax and Scots dialect syntax. Welcome, Professor Thoms!
