Liz Fink on Academic Publishing
Liz Fink, editor of the IFS’s academic journal French Politics, Culture & Society, and a member of the IFS faculty, is a historian of decolonization, specializing in the history of social movements, democracy, and mobilization in West Africa and France. Her book manuscript, Elections and the Politics of Mobilization: Voting in French West Africa, 1944-1960, reveals the growing centrality of electoral processes in struggles between African social movements, French administrators, and newly enfranchised voters in determining West Africa’s future.
