Awarded annually for the best paper written in a Capstone Seminar by an undergraduate student. Nominees are accepted from the fall and spring semesters and determined by the Undergraduate Committee.

John Morrissey

Presented to a graduating senior for excellence in American History.

Maddie Dailey

Presented to a student at the end of the junior year for excellence and accomplishment in History.

Ashley Vergara

Presented for distinguished service to the History Department's undergraduate program, in memory of Fred Schult, long-time Director of Undergraduate Studies.

Olivia Newsome

For excellence in Latin American History.

Claudia Olmo

This is awarded to the student who, in the judgment of the Department of History, has made the best record in the history honors course.

Interest and Achievement in African American History, awarded annually to a student considered to have demonstrated conscientious and outstanding work.

Phoebe Jones

Awarded annually to an undergraduate to help defray the cost of an NYU study abroad program or other research project related to African history.
