The Panayotis Chris Theotocatos Memorial Scholarship was established in 2021 to honor the memory of New York University alumnus Panayotis Chris Theotocatos. This Memorial Scholarship furthers the goals of NYU by providing support for the current undergraduate Hellenic Studies majors of the College of Arts and Sciences' A. S. Onassis Program.
This annual award provides tuition assistance to a student who demonstrates financial need and academic merit while declaring their Hellenic Studies major. Students must declare Hellenic Studies as their primary undergraduate major, meet all necessary undergraduate Program requirements in their respective track, and maintain their top academic standing.
The scholarship amount of $5,000 will be awarded to recipients to be applied toward their Program's tuition. Awardees will be known as Theotocatos Scholars and will receive the opportunity to meet Daphne, Nick, and George Theotocatos, the family members of Mr. Panayotis Chris Theotocatos and establishers of the Memorial Scholarship.
