This event is a part of our Spring 2021 lecture series, Secrets Unveiled: Contemporary Israeli Documentary Series.

For the first event in the series, join us for a conversation with Director Dan Shadur about his film, Before the Revolution, moderated by Dr. Dan Chyutin, Tel Aviv University.

A screening of the film will not be included in the event, however, access to the film will be provided for free prior to the event. See instructions below:

  1. Register at the link below to participate. Once you have registered, you will receive an automatic email with instructions for joining the event. 
  2. On Friday, March 12 at around 1:30 PM, you will receive an additional email with a link to screen the video for free in Hebrew with English subtitles. 
  3. The link with the film will remain open from March 12 through March 14 at 1:30 PM EDT (the time of the event start)
  4. Please plan to screen the film on your own before joining the discussion on March 14. The discussion will be in English.

About the Director

Dan Shadur is a filmmaker and writer based in Tel Aviv. His documentaries have premiered in major film festivals around the world, and, in particular, his film King Bibi has become one of the most successful Israeli documentaries. His films have also been featured on PBS, Arte, ZDF, BBC Persia and other networks, and have been featured in The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, Der Spiegel and many more.
